Visits to the Hospital

When one of our parishioners is hospitalized, our clergy or our Pastoral Assistant are happy to come to visit.  Current laws regarding the confidentiality of patient information ("HIPAA" Laws), however, have made it much more difficult for clergy and pastoral care personnel to have access to patients.  If you or a family member are to be admitted to the hospital, please make sure that you specify at the time of your admission that you are a parishioner of Saint Luke Church and would like to be visited by our parish staff.  Then, please make sure you call the Parish Office at 203-227-7245 to inform us.

The Catholic Chaplain of the hospital has responsibility for offering the Anointing of the Sick, the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confessions) and Communion.

Visits to the Homebound

Likewise when one of our parishioners is confined to home because of illness or advanced age, our clergy or our Pastoral Assistant are happy to come to visit.  We will also bring communion upon request. Initial contact is made through our Parish Office at 203-227-7245.

Pastoral Counseling

Saint Luke Church is fortunate to count Deacon Brian Kelly, PhD, among our staff. Appointments for individual, family or marriage counseling may be made by calling Deacon Kelly directly at 203-373-9753.  Deacon Kelly also provides spiritual direction in the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius Loyola.
